Ice, Ice, baby. Blah f'n humbug. A painful (cold hurts my meat coated skeleton), nasty, dangerous mess if one has to be out in it, but absolutely gorgeous in a few wild and serene spaces, when viewed from the safety and warmth of home (fingers crossed for it to remain that way through the storm and beyond).

Well over here it's beginning to really feel like Summer.

Clear blue skies...not even a fluffy white cloud from horizon to horizon... a little bit of North wind whipped up later in the day but died down on a red sunset... it's going to be warm tomorrow but probably only about 30 C... so okay..

Can any of you that live over there... imagine what it's like to have a 40 C (104 f) Christmas day? Lol

@berlinda - 40C is not unusual during our Summer's, it's higher than that quite frequently and for consecutive days. Don't you get heat waves?

You will see me here moaning about it all as soon as our Summer cranks into gear believe me. :(
But this year I have fans YAY! and AIRCON YAY! YAY!! So the weather can do it's worst...sort of :unsure:

I am still grieving a Winter with virtually no rain...:(

Today is a beautiful 25 - 30 C day with a Wiltshire crockery paint - blue sky. lol...

Don't you get heat waves?

Yes, short ones usually.

This year though we had a couple months of sunny days (not uninterrupted)- I dont ever remember having that. It was the joint hottest summer we've ever had and only boasted 9 consecutive days of 30° heat. The hottest temp recorded in the UK ever was 38°.

So yeah, 40° heat literally is unimaginable for me.

^^ Well when it gets to 40 + and we've had 5 days above 35 C. that air-con is going to come in handy...I am so lucky I have it for this Summer - I am getting far too old to tough it all out now.

^^I noticed the UK temperatures were above average... I hope you have a good Winter. :)
