Telemedicine

have any of you gotten treatment via telemedicine? I’m considering several possible med management providers and the woman I clicked with does that. She’ll be calling me tomorrow to determine if I match the criteria needed to be accepted. It sounds good to me. I can be in the comfort of my home, dog by my side.
Has anyone done this with doc?

I haven't, I had phone sessions with my previous t for a few weeks after I moved across the country 4 years ago and I have had a couple of failed in my opinion phone sessions with my current t. I say failed because I really have trust issues even with telemedicine you can't be certain that the provider is alone, doesn't have a student or family member or whatever just off screen and no guarantee that it isn't being recorded on the computer. I don't mean to rain on the parade but I couldn't do it I just don't trust enough.

I have not with a dr, but I have with t and an art t. Both of them I had a relationship in person with first so built that trust factor before transitioning to skype. It has worked for me, but not sure I could do it with someone I had not met before.

I have with a regular doctor for a sinus infection and it was nice not having to go where there were lots of sick people with the flu and other illnesses. The Dr was thorough in his questions, had my health history I had uploaded, and gave me option of Skype or just phone. It was an anxiety free call, he called in meds for me, and the pharmacy notified me when they were ready. All this in under an hour and I knew the wait time at clinic was minimum 3 hours and primary care I couldn't get in for 3 days. If something minor, I would use telemedicine again in a heart beat! I haven't tried the counseling service yet.
