Coke & Coffee & Fishiiies (f*ck off, grief.)

And thinking about buddy's comment about booze + coffee in insane quantities miighta had bit of a coke effect on me. Still not sure if there's any science to back that up, but experience wise he mighta well been right. Which makes it hilarious. So just other thing to check books on.
 
Wanna learn how to make some kind of oat bar without butter or much sugar.
You mean like fried mush?

Steel cut oats gently cooked in saltwater (not stirred much to burst the grains, or even in a slow cooker for 8 hours with 4:1 water : oats, instead of 3:1) and left to soak overnight to swell up like crazy and “set” solid (pour into whatever vessel you want them to form into whilst still hot). If left on a baking dish, cut -or use cookie cutters- into desired shape... and fry off or eat cold. If left in a sauté pan, just fry off as is (or lift up the saucer shaped thing and add a little oil/butter to fry off in) and cut into wedges like polenta.

Or more like a rolled oats granola bar or diabetic oatmeal cookie? (Tons of diabetic low sugar/no sugar oatmeal cookie recipes online!)
 
Casserole made with thinly sliced red potatoes, sweet onion, Hungarian mushroom soup, broccoli florets, and shredded vegan cheese, with a side of green beans.

Applesauce/oatmeal/raisin cookies for dessert. We make these and a couple other versions rather often for the hubby to eat instead of the typical store bought versions of breakfast bars.

Here's the recipe for that, if you're interested, @berlinda . It uses dates as the sweetener. I like to sometimes swirl some sunflower seed butter on top when I'm munching on them to add to the yumminess.
