Every bite is pretty much an ongoing experiment, for sure,
@berlinda . So many bites tend to bite us back in more ways than one. lol It's been an almost 6 year long learning experiment in my kitchen.
If I didn't love to cook/experiment so much and didn't have a husband who doesn't mind doing dishes and pitching in on occasion, I probably would have already checked out of this existence, to be honest.
It only took me 45ish years to figure out I needed to be much more mindful, but only after being drop-kicked into necessity via the emergency room and such. (I don't recommend that path....lol)
Fork therapy is what I call it now. Trying to unfork my decades long self-created hell-th circumstances each and every day, one drink and one bite at a time. lol
Spoke to a new coffee shop owner a few towns over from us today who requested and wrote down that applesauce cookie recipe to add to his menu. Nice! Maybe I won't have to fix them all the time myself now. :)
Break-fast today was a lot of water, then a smoothie made with frozen burro bananas/carob powder/reishi and chaga mushroom powder/two big handfuls of baby greens/sunflower seed butter/flax milk/chia seeds. Mmmm...the chocolate/banana milkshake taste-alike.
Threw together a big garden salad with chickpeas and maple mustard dressing for lunch. Supper's gonna be a buddha bowl concoction with toasted quinoa/greens/red onion/cucumber/tomatoes/marinated roasted tofu/red bell peppers/chickpeas/sauerkraut/lemon, garlic, tahini dressing/etc.
