What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

Made a big crock pot full of "clean out the fridge soup" yesterday with veggie broth, cabbage, shitake mushrooms, green onion, eggplant, poblano peppers, yellow and red bell peppers, garlic, turmeric, dulse granules, black pepper, and sea salt and served it with some leftover garden salad.

Today is mostly fresh juice/liquid diet day, made with generous amounts of kale, swiss chard, ginger root, cabbage, beets, beet greens, lemon, and granny smith apples...so pretty....and so tasty...with a bowl of leftover soup to look forward to at the end of the day.

Also, gonna soak and start some sprouts...mung bean sprouts to top salads with and some chickpea sprouts to try to make some raw hummus with. I never before realized I could grow part of my own lunch on the kitchen counter so easily, and so quickly. They charge a pretty penny for sprouts and such in stores.

Sammiches

I have some Tako I picked up at the docks yesterday for making sunomono, and Caplin roe in the freezer... but I can't find my cucumbers. :O_o: Which fills me with a dire foreboding. My kid has a bit of a thing for cucumber sammiches. My kid is also a teenager, so he's known for eating...vast...quantities of food. Dude. How many cucumber sandwiches do 3 english cucumbers even make? I'm not sure I want to know.

Last night, I chopped some green cabbage and put it in a big baking dish and topped it with some sliced late season garden tomatoes and onion, then poured leftover homemade chunky marinara sauce on top, spread it out evenly, and baked it at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes and served it topped off with a vegan parmesan blend I made with brazil nuts, onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt, and nutritional yeast.

So far today, it's been all liquids...lemon water, more water, a shot of apple cider vinegar chased with more water, and some burdock root/ginger infusion. Later, a buffet of leftovers from the last couple days with a salad of some sort.
