An admin would be me, as I am the only admin.
Where is the moderator that cares to reign him in? As you can see, I read this thread and avoided posting anything for some time.
Which is it? Do you want this community moderated, as I asked this exact question not long ago, which was returned with a resounding NO attached. Or do you want freedom of speech to grow the f*ck up and discuss things as adults, vent, say what you have to say, choose what you respond with, and well... be accountable for your actions and decisions?

Which one is it?

Equal treatment is allowing one member to say his piece, without all the yelling, ranting and raving, and another responding with all the yelling, ranting and raving. I have no idea about either of the two people involved here, but you both make your own choices and depict yourselves to other members by those choices.

This isn't f*ckin kindergarden people... grow up and talk as adults, discuss, OR, you will get a moderated community of rules, and I don't give a shit if people then leave because they don't want to play nice by the very rules obviously needed, having someone above you moderating your content and actions, because you can't act as adults.

Oh wait... that's right... it's moderators fault though in what you respond with!

Take some responsibility, the two of you, and grow the f*ck up and be adults.

This bullshit is exactly why military communities fail... because people can't be adults and own their choices.

Closed.

Oh, and RED... I don't give a shit about what you define as a combat veteran. Your opinion on the matter upon this forum, and in relation to who is allowed to be here, has zero weight or validity. The rule is very clearly written, no misinterpretation, and NO member gets to decide anything else.

This forum is for combat veterans only, not that you served in the military and have PTSD, but you physically deployed to a combat zone itself and were either land or sea based (in direct naval or air support), and you have PTSD as a direct result of your combat service. No exceptions!

Being on a ship, in a combat zone, regardless of any actual combat, puts everyone on that ship in harms way and heightened risk. Flying a C130 with cargo around between safe bases, put all on that plane at risk. Cooking in the kitchen at the local camp, located in a combat zone, puts them at risk. If any have PTSD as a direct result of their service within a combat zone, they are allowed to be here.

Again... NO member states otherwise, because you don't get to make the rules here.

Hey Anthony

Thanks for the input and responding to the current situation.

I would still like to see this forum as a place that you described; open ideas, open discussions, expression of opinions both pro and con. Not a lot of strict rules and regulations and moderation either. This is, of course, just one persons opinion, mine. There will always be problems, no different here than anywhere else. Some will not be able to get along and I'm OK with that for it can make for an interesting discussion. Outright hatred, no. I think we've all seen too much of that already and I'm not talking just about here. Whether we can have that remains to be seen and only time will tell. You, of course, will make the final assessment on this.

This forum has helped me in more ways than I can even begin to list and the friendships that I've be luck enough to form here are some of the best in my life. I'm hoping that this is just one of those bumps in the road that we have to get past. You know me, I'm the guy that sees the glass as half full. Even after all the things that PTSD has dealt out to me I'm still hopeful. Just an Old JarHed's Opinion.
