maybe even get some ideas on people to contact here in Australia?
Here is the list of locations where a PTSD course is ran: [DLMURL]http://www.acpmh.unimelb.edu.au/trauma/ptsd_programs.html[/DLMURL]
Townsville has the best outcome with success rate... though it is quite military oriented, though does have fire, police, ambulance and other people attend it. It is run through the Mater hospital, as most are, so if you have private health insurance, you may be able to get her onto one of them...
As her hubby, the single best resource I could point you towards is a book called "The Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Relationship", which you can find a link to in the book library here... its cheap as to buy from Amazon. Buying it from a store in Australia, they just order it from the US anyway, so its quicker to just order it from Amazon yourself, takes a week to 10 days to arrive.
That is the single best resource I have ever read and recommended for supporters of a PTSD sufferer. It gives you a great deal of information and advice on how to look after you, the kids, and not to enable her, but support and push her in the right direction for help.
The best thing you could do is get her here, so she is helping herself, because it doesn't matter what I, a therapist, or anyone else says, including you... only she can help herself, nobody can force her to help herself... she must do the work.
