What Exercise Did You Do Today

I rode 2 1/2 hrs on my off road touring bike. This has to be my favorite bike of the current 5.

Today? Well for the past few days I've been walking a bit and the days kinda blur together.

Can't stop thinking about 2 days ago when I went to visit an old friend's place... I meant the place, kinda knew I wouldn't find anyone there. No one was there for around 3 months and no contact.

That bus route was supposed to run every 20 mins between 12 - 5 or 7am but I waited and wandered around for over 40 - 60 mins and what's really funny was that the bus going the other way came twice but nothing going where I wanted so I walked about half an hour in the rain to a more busy location to go back, luckily there was transport at 4am.

It wasn't as bad as it sounds, I haven't been out for quite a while, kinda refreshing lol. Just wanted something to happen ... I knew it was raining and no one was around but wanted to double check. Miss you buddy and hope you're ok.

Two-mile jog on the treadmill, interspersed with a few variations of weight machines and the bench (not too heavy, 40 kilos) plus stretching either side of it all, 10 mins bike ride to and from the gym. I do this every second day, it has been a pillar of my PTSD recovery. Aware this is the bare minimum, I remain flabby and a bit overweight.

Alongside cutting alcohol by more than half, telling my story, becoming aware that rumination is an addiction, becoming aware that rage is chemically bad for us, reading/listening to self-help, getting more nature, getting winter sun, getting better friends and getting a better job. I am not certain that the bit of therapy I did is on the list of pillars, but I'll give it a hat tip. Sharing all this for anyone out there looking for a way forward.

Since last Thursday i have been at the mountain film festival in Telluride CO. My trainer was there and we rode mt bikes everyday and hiked. I am in Northern New Mexico now and I just finished yoga via zoom with my trainer. I will be here until Sunday and then I will drive to Santa Fe to work with my trainer for a day or two. Until then she will be assigning daily bicycle rides. Tomorrow is a two hour easy spin. All good.

moved and used a 2" trash pump, loaded and unloaded it twice and used it to drain an 8 person hot tub which I then loaded and unloaded. I removed about 25' of fence which I also loaded and unloaded, broke up and moved a 10 x 10 2" thick cement pad (I used a tractor to haul that away) and dug in 8' of electrical conduit for the new tub. More next weekend and the next, then I await the pleasure of a new tub after keeping the old bugger clicking for almost 30 years! Lots of work, but the best morning coffee has a little steamy chlorine in it.

My back hurts just reading this.

I've taken a short but fast bike ride (12 minutes) and then a slower (16 minutes), but now I will change clothes and force my self to take the bike to the woods and take a walk (minimum 6000 steps). And I want to do some yoga later (but I don't know if I will manage to)
